Here at RECD, we are actively engaged within the industry and are passionate about finding ways to support our community. We recently hosted an Industry Lunch with special guests Leah Calnan, Director of Metro Property Management, and comedian Claire Hooper, to provide a fun and entertaining way for people to reconnect, collaborate and get inspired by some of the brightest minds in Real Estate.

After being rescheduled four separate times due to COVID-19 restrictions, the event finally went ahead on December 3rd and was a fantastic opportunity to go beyond the competitive nature of the industry and bring together people with shared experiences but unique ways of responding to the challenges they’ve faced. We received some great feedback from those among the 130 attendees, with many stating they loved the informal, friendly environment it provided for people from all different styles of business and locations to connect.

Our biggest takeaway from the day was the sheer resilience of the Real Estate community – from extended lockdowns to significant changes to the Residential Tenancies Act, we have proved that together we can get through some really tough times. We are proud to be part of this diverse and vibrant industry and look forward to seeing our peers thrive moving forward.
